Seeing and Perception assignment
For this assignment i chose to have some fun and crush up some rather rotten oranges ive had sitting in my fridge for awhile.. I'm happier now with these photos than i was when actually shooting them, the first two will be what i look at as the two strongest in terms of the assignment and the rest are there just to have them up. #1=Movement. #2= Emphasis
I feel that though my movement image was not technically in motion during the time of the shot, the way that the oranges spread out as they were smashed illustrates a great sense of movement. they look to be exploding after just being thrown to the ground. My emphasis shot is one of the same oranges, but the rind in the foreground gives the photo a depth of field. The fact that the foreground is out of focus allows the viewer to look past and focus on the emphasized pieces and seeds.
